چکیده

The project is on an autonomous hexapod shaped robot which can move around the area prone to land mines and other explosives to explore them and send the sensed data to the cloud at the same time as a warning. Since a hexapod has many degrees of freedom its movement can be made highly precise. The robot is attached with many peripheral sensors to record the object of interest data and those data are transmitted to a remote machine where the entire decision making algorithm runs. That remote machine can also do the statistical analysis of the collected data. The final decision is transmitted to the robot via the same communication link to the on board microcontroller for the associated movement. The usage of cloud computation is to make the sensor data available all the time and also possible to share it. Keywords— Cloud Robotics, Hexapod, Mecnr, Mines Explorer Robot, Swarm Robotics.

Networked Robots: from Telerobotics to Cloud Robotics

As of 2013, almost all robots have access to computer networks that offer extensive computing, memory, and other resources that can dramatically improve performance. The underlying enabling framework is the focus of this chapter: networked robots. Networked robots trace their origin to telerobots, or remotely controlled robots. Telerobots are widely used to explore undersea terrains and outer s...

Odor Guided Exploration and Plume Tracking - Particle Plume Explorer

This paper presents a new algorithm for single robot odor exploration called Particle Plume Explorer. This algorithm is supported by a novel point cloud based plume mapping method called Particle Plume also presented here. The developed algorithm was validated through extensive real world experiments on multiple environments using a single robot equipped with a gas sensor.

The Legal Challenges of Networked Robotics: From the Safety Intelligence Perspective

One of the reasons that future robots will enhance their intelligence and actions in an unstructured environment is because of their “networked” feature. Current robot designs have difficulty in understanding unstructured environments due to the inherent diversity and unpredictability of phenomena in the real world. However, new developments such as ubiquitous computing, cloud computing, the In...

Database search Orchestrator for cloud database

Cloud computing is an emerging paradigm in the field of distributed computing. Orchestrator is a manger which coordinates the distributed tasks. An Orchestrator, Computational Orchestrator (CompOrch) [1] is presented in our previous work. CompOrch is a super class for the various distributed tasks. It includes the Orchestration of mathematical applications, distributed robotic tasks and network...

A Holistic Cloud-Enabled Robotics System for Real-Time Video Tracking Application

Future distributed sensor fusion applications will require efficient methods of information management such as Cloud computing. Using a server-based cloud-enabled software architecture would increase performance over hardware constraints (e.g., power, memory, and processors). In this paper, we propose a comprehensive framework for information fusion demonstrated for Cloud Robotics, which posses...
